What’s a Tintype?
Long story short, tintypes are an old form of photography that uses silver and light to create an image on a sheet of aluminum. It’s basically magic! Sure, there’s well understood chemistry explaining exactly what’s happening, but isn’t it more fun to pretend it’s magic?
What we offer
STUDIO SESSION
No need to hold still, plenty of studio lighting at the in home studio for quick, well lit portraits of you, your loved ones, and even pets!
ON LOCATION SESSION
We can take this show on the road, all we need is the sun to be shining! The darkroom, chemicals, and camera gear can go anywhere my Subaru Crosstrek can, provided the hike isn’t too far!

Don’t like how you look in the first shot? Each shoot comes with one free re-shoot! Additional re-shoots are available for $30 to help cover the materials cost. Any need to re-shoot stemming from a technical error on our part is free!
At the end of the day, we want you to be thrilled with how you look in your tin type, and we will be flexible to make sure that happens!
On location shoots have a travel fee, based on travel distance.
